How to Support Earthquake Relief Efforts

A devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake recently struck southeast Turkey and northern Syria. The reported death toll is in the thousands and climbing after buildings all over the region crumbled, burying civilians beneath the rubble. Please help us work with our local partners to provide relief and support.

Annual Meeting and Vestry Elections on February 26

Our Annual Meeting is on February 26 following the 10:30 service. In addition to electing 4 new members to the Vestry, we’ll discuss finances and other issues important in the life of our parish family. The meeting will end with an opportunity for you to ask parish leadership any questions you might have about our life together as a community of faith at St. Alban’s.

Nominees Needed for our 2023 Vestry Elections

The Vestry is the lay committee of St. Alban’s that, working with the rector, provides guidance and leadership to the parish. As leaders, the Vestry considers how we can best serve God and the community, both the membership community and the larger community.

All confirmed communicants in good standing who are members of St. Alban’s are eligible to serve. If you feel called to serve, or if you know of someone who would be a good candidate to serve on the Vestry, please pass the information to Alex in the parish office (of course, after ensuring they are willing to run for Vestry).

Poe Middle After-School Meal Program

Thursday, February 16

St. Albans will provide a hot meal to middle schoolers who participate in Poe’s after-school activities on Thursday, February 16. More than two-thirds of the students in the after-school programs receive free- or reduced-priced breakfasts and lunches, and so our meals support those who face food insecurity at home at the end of the day. We have learned and servers have witnessed that these students very much look forward to, and are grateful for, these hot meals. Here’s your opportunity to support this outreach!

Volunteers are needed to shop on your own schedule beforehand and to cook, transport, serve, and clean up on the day-of.
