Bring your backpacks, planners, car keys - any sign of your ministry - for the occasion!
RSCM Chorister Program - Help Spread the Word!
St. Alban’s is launching a Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) Chorister program in September. Choristers and their families can choose between Wednesday or Thursday rehearsals, and Choristers will work one-on-one and in small groups with a dedicated professional Vocal Coach. The program is free and any child aged eight and older with an unchanged voice is welcome to participate.

If you know of any children who love to sing, please share the news of this program with them. You can visit the music page at www.wearestalbans.org/music for a full program description. There are also postcards sprinkled across campus – please feel free to grab a few and post them in your favorite coffee shop. Volunteer and other administrative support will also be gratefully accepted. Thank you for your support of this important work!
Sunday School Teachers Still Needed
In Alaska, a shortage of school bus drivers has left kids without rides for most of the first quarter.

WE DON’T WANT SUNDAY SCHOOL TO FOLLOW

Please consider this very important ministry as, without solid volunteer teachers, we cannot offer a full program. So please: be a teacher! Contact  sundayschool@stalbansva.org for more information and to sign up.
Early Registration is now Open for Sunday School
We are excited to announce that early registration is open for Sunday School (grades Pre-K through High School). Please register your children by going to the church website. This information is very important for parish record keeping. For more information on registration or about St. Alban’s Sunday School, please see Adam Hutson or email us at sundayschool@stalbansva.org

Don’t forget: Sunday School returns on 9/18 at 9:15 am.
Save the Date: Family Movie and Dinner Night
Family Movie and Dinner night: Friday September 9th. Don’t worry about making dinner, come hang out, watch the family friendly movie and enjoy someone else’s cooking.
Have you always wanted to be a Coffee Hour Host…
…but were a little intimidated by the kitchen equipment?

Fear no more! Check out our new, on-line kitchen tutorial! It will change your life! Contact Debbie Rosse or Peter Larson for more information on being a Coffee Hour Host!

Many thanks to Debbie Rosse, Peter Larson, and Kevin Holland for producing and posting these helpful videos.
ACCA Pantry Update
Thank you for a wonderful response to your neighbors in need. Over the last two weeks, you contributed a total of 109 lbs.! The pantry helpers noted what's currently especially low is soup, spaghetti sauce, canned meat (chicken, tuna, Dinty Moore stew, spam), and personal hygiene items.

Cash is always welcome so ACCA buyers can purchase fresh vegetables and fruit. (Fresh items should not be donated.)  A check can also be written to ACCA Inc. and mailed to ACCA, 7200 Columbia Pike, Annandale VA 22003.
Help Out the Families of Braddock Elementary School
Every other Wednesday, St. Alban’s provides two bags of nutritious foods to 35 grateful families who have been identified as "in need" by the school's family resource teacher. Volunteers are needed to pack the bags or deliver them to a central location where we meet the families. We love new volunteers and it is very rewarding, so please consider joining us.
Our next Wednesday is August 24thClick on this link to sign up!
