Soaring Into 2025:

Expanding Programs and Technology

Our goals for 2025 are fueled by a passion to enhance the Bronx Children's Museum experience through STEAM activities and educational experiences.


Extending Operational Days: We aim to extend our operational days, providing more opportunities for families to immerse themselves in the magic.


Enhancing Visitor Experience: We're dedicated to enhancing the appeal of the Exterior Street corridor, increasing engagement at Mill Pond Park, and collaborating with community partners to improve street safety and wayfinding.


Captivating New Exhibits: Anticipate the unveiling of captivating immersive and interactive exhibits like the "First Nations Topography” exhibit and the "Boogie Down Recording Studio".


Partnerships Addressing Digital Access and Equity: With the support of like-minded partners and donors, our 3D Labs—Design, Develop, Display initiative—will provide state-of-the-art spaces, cutting-edge technology, and virtual interactive educational programming to address the digital divide and empower Bronx students, families, and teachers.


Strengthening Outreach Programs: We're committed to further strengthening school outreach programs and festivals, ensuring our impact reaches even more young minds.

Sensory Saturday: More Time to Learn and Explore

Now offered in both morning and afternoon sessions every first Saturday of the month, Sensory Saturday provides a calm, supportive space for children with sensory sensitivities to explore, learn, and connect with the Museum—giving even more families the chance to be part of this special experience.

Multicultural Day at BxCM Kick-off

Every second Saturday of the month we will explore cultures through activities and special guests to deepen our understanding of our diverse neighborhoods and world. Each month we highlight one of three different themes: food, fashion and music.

Cold Weather Fashion Collage

What does cold weather clothing look like from your country?

Celebrate our first Multicultural Day at BxCM by exploring the different outfits you can wear in cold weather and collage them together to create your very own fabulous fashion photo montage


Egyptian Excavation

Become an archaeologist and Egyptologist by uncovering the artifacts of a people from long ago. Search through the sand and record what you find in your own journal. What can you figure out about a people from the things they leave behind?

Melting Snowman

Do you want to build a snowman? Mold a snowman out of baking soda and water, and decorate it. However, what do you think will happen to our snowman when we introduce them to some vinegar?

Our building prompt is: Can you create something that holds Pelham the turtle puppet?      


Lunar New Year - "Year of the Snake" Calligraphy

It’s the Year of the Snake! Which animal in the Chinese Zodiac represents you? Learn what it means to be born in the Year of the Snake and explore China’s beautiful tradition of calligraphy.
