Region One is honored to have been selected as a TIA Specialized Hub for Texas Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) and Portfolios, recognizing our accomplishments in advancing these initiatives. We’ve provided targeted, personalized support to 144 campuses, focusing on refining the SLO process and preparing districts for TIA local designation system approval.
As a result, some of our districts have received full system approval, implementing SLOs as their district-wide student growth measure, leading to the designation of 1,106 teachers.

At Region One, we proudly partner with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to advance the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) initiative, supporting educators in maximizing their impact.
Our success is evident:
- 80% of school districts in our region actively participating in TIA
- 87% of rural schools in our region actively participating in TIA
- 74% of our school districts with Fully Approved and Accepted Local Designation.

We are excited to announce the launch of our Texas SLO & Portfolio HUB Model District initiative! We are seeking four innovative school districts from across the state to join us as Model Districts for TX SLO & Portfolio.
As a Model District, your district will play a pivotal role in a statewide study aimed at identifying best practices that have driven student growth success through the use of SLOs and Portfolios. You will also help document the real-world challenges districts face and contribute to creating solutions that others can follow.

This platform enhances the validity and reliability of district data by streamlining the collection of student growth measures and progress monitoring. Soon, SEE-ONE will also manage TIA cohort status, data submissions, teacher designations and provide coordinated support from Region One.
