As we enter the second half of the year, we've made significant strides, including forming new sections in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, hosting a successful Spring Conference, and initiating key collaborations and proposals.

AIA International Celebration at AIA24
At AIA24, we celebrated AIA International sections and design award winners, discussed our vision for Value, Visibility, and Voice, honored past and present presidents, and announced the establishment of the AIA Latin America and AIA Sub-Sahara Africa sections.
The event concluded with the announcement of bids for the AIA International Conference 2025 in Berlin and Colombo, with the winner to be revealed later.

2024 AIA International Strategic Council
At the annual business meeting at AIA24 in Washington, DC, on June 5th, proposed bylaws amendments regarding membership categories, including a notable proposal to change 'International Associate' to 'Internationally Licensed Architectural Professional,' were discussed but none passed, with plans to refine these proposals for next year's meeting.

AIA UK hosted the 2024 Design Awards Gala at the Royal College of Physicians, designed by Sir Denys Lasdun, on 12 June 2024.
This event doubled as a Summer Party and an opportunity to celebrate AIA UK’s recent 30 year anniversary with our members and guests.
