Check-In with Ms. Kovalesky

Greetings, STEM Students!

Can you believe that we’ve been in school for four weeks? It has been so great having our students back with us and it’s been even better getting into a normal routine quicker than I’ve ever seen.

I want to express a BIG Thank You to our parents for all that they’ve done to help us launch the school year. From signing up to volunteer, donating items on our teachers’ Wish Lists, getting into the rhythm of driveline and so much more.

It really does take a village to make our school run and I am happy that you all are part of the village with me.

Your STEM Leadership and Administration teams have already accomplished so many things in just four weeks, but we have much more work to do.

I wanted to touch on two topics with all of you that are important for all of us.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Michelle Gasser and I am the Director of Professional Development. Part of my role is supporting our community on Standards Based Learning (SBL). Over the past two years, we have worked hard to support our students on why we are switching our grading system to Standards-Based Learning and what that will mean for you.
