KOSON/STEM Board of Director Candidates for Upcoming Election

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,

It's that time of year again when the KOSON/STEM Board of Directors holds its annual Elections to fill the open Parent seat. Five parents from the STEM community have submitted their names to be included on the ballot for the community to review and then vote on.

Please click the button below to review the candidates via our KOSON/STEM BOD Voter Book. The BOD would like to ask all families to please review this Voter Book in advance so that they are prepared when voting opens.

Every parent will receive an electronic ballot from an independent certified e-voting service (third-party) delivered to their email address listed in Infinite Campus. As was shared in the Weekly Parent Newsletter, parents were asked to ensure that their contact information is updated in IC so that they receive a ballot.

Voting will open on Monday, April 24, and close on Friday, April 28. If you do not receive an email, please email rudy.lukez@stemk12.org so I can assist further.

In partnership,

Rudy Lukez, KOSON/STEM BOD Member

Evolv Implementation Team Update

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Community,

As you may know, we were awarded a grant from the Douglas County Commissioners to enhance security on our campus through a one-time funding grant to pilot the Evolv Security System.

The Evolv Implementation Team comprises board members, staff, students, and parents. We have been meeting this past month to prepare for this pilot program at our new Athletics Entrance.

There are currently four subcommittees to this team. Additional committees will be formed as needed throughout the implementation of the Evolv Security System.

Check-In with Ms. Kovalesky

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families and Students,

It is hard to believe that there are only five more weeks left in this school year. The last few weeks of every year are always so busy. Our days are filled with testing, celebrations, and fun for our community. We hope to connect with our families at some of our end-of-the-year events.

Over the next few weeks, STEM’s SAC and Student Advisory Committees and our Teacher Support Team will survey their stakeholders. Each survey is designed to elicit constructive feedback to promote growth and improvement. I ask that you take a few moments to share what you feel is going well and/or improving and areas of needed improvement by filling out the SAC Parent Survey. The data collected helps guide decisions made throughout the summer and into next year. Your input matters as we strive to make STEM Stronger Together!

As the year comes to a close, many changes will occur. Students and staff must prepare to say farewell to friends and colleagues, and everyone’s daily routines begin to shift. Change is sometimes challenging. Our staff is committed to supporting our students and staff through these changes. Please reach out to us for any assistance.
