2022-23 Annual Parent Survey

Each year the School Accountability Committee puts out a Parent Survey. The information included here will be used to provide feedback and suggestions to the Board of Directors, administrators and staff at STEM to improve the overall educational experience for our children. Please reflect only on the 2022-23 school year when answering these questions. Please complete a survey for each student you have attending STEM.

Evolv Express System Update (05/11/23)

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,

We've shared in the Parent Newsletter over the last few months that STEM will participate in a pilot program to test the Evolv Express System. As we've shared, the pilot program is being funded through a grant from the Douglas County Commissioners.

Over the last few years, the Commissioners have vetted about a dozen different security technologies, and through a lengthy process, they have selected Evolv Express as a possible addition to school and government building security.

Through the grant, STEM will receive three Evolv Express Systems that will eventually be utilized at both the Secondary and Elementary main entrances, as well as the Athletics Entrance. During the three-year pilot program, the Evolv Express System will be located at the Athletics Entrance to start. The grant will also fund an independent security firm that will operate the Evolv Express System and work alongside the STEM Administration Team if any weapons are detected by the system.

Each Friday we send out three newsletters to our various stakeholder groups (parents/community, students and staff). Parents are automatically signed up for our newsletter using the information provided in Infinite Campus. People can also sign-up for the newsletter using our sign-up form and can find archives via the Get Connected page on the Parent Page. Newsletters are sent through Constant

Since we are a K-12 school, there is a lot of information that gets shared with our community each week. In order to be as efficient as possible with our limited resources, we break up the newsletter into specific sections to organize the information as best as we can for our families. For Elementary-specific news, please click on the Elementary News/Updates section. For Secondary (6-12)-specific news, please click on the Secondary News/Updates section.
