CIE PARTNER MEETING RECAP
| |
Hi CIE Partners,
Happy New Year! Thank you all for joining us at the CIE Partner Gathering on January 26, 2023.
We kicked off the meeting with introductions and shared our favorite candy or treat growing up.
We welcomed three new CIE Partners:
| |
Partners in Care Foundation |
Partners aligns social care and health care to address the social determinants of health and equity disparities affecting diverse, under-served and vulnerable populations. They value diversity, and all are welcome at Partners.
| | | |
Their mission is to fearlessly reengineer the way healthcare works – to reduce its cost, ensure better outcomes and provide everyone, everywhere with the kind of compassionate, coordinated care they deserve.
| | | |
University of California San Diego |
UC San Diego is transforming California and a diverse global society by educating, by generating and disseminating knowledge and creative works, and by engaging in public service.
| | | | Highlighted New Direct Referrals offered by Traveler's Aid Society | |
We also received updates on CIE Partner Experience, CIE Community Voice, and learned about Z-Codes which are used for authorization processing to health plans for services such as Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports!
Thank you all for your support and participation.

211/CIE has completed data mapping for 25 DHCS-defined priority z-codes to determine eligibility for CalAIM services and are required for authorization processing to health plans for services such as Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports.
What are Z-Codes?
Z-codes are the SDOH-specific ICD-10-CM codes that are used to document SDoH Data on the client's health record. Z-codes will "Assist DHCS in evaluating population health statewide through the analysis of member characteristics, health, social, and risk needs, with an emphasis on driving improvements in health equity and identifying health disparities and their root causes."
