Ages 7–12 / Cost $150

Who says camp is only for summer? This coming January, the magic of Chanco comes back to life for a weekend of bonfires, archery, games, music, outdoor adventure, and unforgettable camp memories.

Kids ages 7–12 are invited to our campgrounds to unplug, make new friends, and explore God's creation. And for returning campers, it's the perfect chance to reconnect with everything they love about Chanco.

Summer Camp 2027 registration is almost here!

The countdown kicks off TODAY, October 6, with early registration opening October 10 — and early birds get special registration discounts.

Donor & Ambassador Celebration:
A Day of Thanksgiving

In gratitude for your commitment to Chanco on the James, please join us for our 2026 Donor and Ambassador Appreciation Luncheon and Eucharist as we celebrate the people whose generosity, service, and love have shaped Chanco, and the legacy we are creating together for generations to come.

Not yet a Chanco donor? There’s still time to be part of this year’s celebration. Make your 2026 gift to Chanco today and join us on November 21 as we give thanks for the community of supporters helping sustain Chanco’s ministry and mission for generations to come.

Save the Date: Alumni Weekend
Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25

Join us October 23–25 for the Chanco Alumni Reunion — “Back in my day Bash”!

Reconnect with old friends, enjoy classic camp activities, live music, and special performances from alumni Hunter Rhodes and Nathan Hoyt.

Friday: Share your favorite Chanco photos and memories when you register. Gather around our signature campfire to swap stories and reconnect.

Saturday: Start with high ropes, ziplines, and boating on the James River. That evening, celebrate over 50 years of Chanco memories with an all-night pavilion party featuring games and live music

Fall College Ministries Retreat

Friday, October 30 – Sunday, November 1

Canterbury students from across the diocese have an opportunity to gather for a weekend of community, rest, reflection, fun, and worship Friday, October 30 – Sunday, November 1 at Chanco on the James.

Participants will have an opportunity to connect with other Canterbury students and can try their hand at archery, the zip line, and the ropes course.

EYC Fall Weekend

Friday, November 6 – Sunday, November 8

Fall Weekend is an opportunity to connect with friends old and new from across the Diocese and to spend time in retreat with God at Chanco on the James.

Youth in grades 6 through 12 (and their adult leaders) are invited to join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship as we explore what it means that Christ is our Past, Present & Future: We are a New Creation. Participants will be staying in the retreat lodgings on the Bluff and will have an opportunity to not only grow in their faith and develop community but also take advantage of some of the activities at Chanco.

Fall Weekend will be filled with fellowship, fun, spiritual growth and music and it all happens at Chanco!

Registration is open until Monday, October 26.
