⇢ 2025 Siminovitch Anniversary Prize

Grand Prize Winner will be announced on December 1st ✨

To celebrate a twenty-five-year legacy of fostering excellence and innovation in Canadian theatre, the Siminovitch Theatre Foundation has challenged its conventions by broadening who can be nominated for the Siminovitch Prize in 2025.

This year, they are pausing the traditional three-year rotating cycle of honouring directors, playwrights, and designers to welcome nominations for theatre creators from these three disciplines, as well as from theatre creators whose work does not fall strictly into the three established Siminovitch Prize categories.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $100,000 prize and $25,000 for the Protégé of their choice and the three shortlisted artists will each receive $10,000, and $5,000 for an emerging artist of their choosing.

Subscribe to their YouTube Channel to catch the 2025 Siminovitch Prize Finalists' documentaries as soon as they go live on Monday, December 1st.

This year's finalists are: Ravi Jain, Anne-Marie Olivier, Estelle Shook and Adrienne Wong.
