EXPO-SCÈNE 2025

THANK YOU!

The EXPO-SCÈNE team and CITT/ICTS would like to thank this year's VISITORS, EXHIBITORS, SPONSORS and PARTNERS for making the 2025 edition an exceptional event.

We are happy to announce that this year's show set a new attendance record, showcasing EXPO-SCÈNE's growing influence and critical role in the industry. This year's sold-out show floor featured 80 exhibitors, with a strong turnout from both Canada and the U.S., despite economic challenges. The increase in U.S. exhibitors and attendees highlights EXPO-SCÈNE's growing appeal outside of Canada. The 2025 edition featured many first-time exhibitors and the return of long-time favourites, all of whom delivered an engaging and discovery-filled experience. As we look ahead to EXPO-SCÈNE 2026, our goal is to build on this momentum with the promise of more innovation, inspiration, and opportunities for discovery. Read the post-show press release here.

Québec Section - CQICTS

2024 Annual Report and 2025 Board of Directors

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It is with gratitude to my colleagues on the Board of Directors that I present the 22nd annual report of CQICTS. Indeed, dealing with three new members out of seven, in a context of reorganization of the Board's structure, could have been a perilous undertaking. Fortunately, the openness, availability, motivation and involvement of the five directors and two observers demonstrated that the change in administrative structure was not only viable, but also relevant to the pursuit of our mission.

With a full team in place, the brigade was able to tackle key issues such as the creation and updating of internal policies, the analysis of our current practices with a view to optimizing operations, and finally, the preliminary study of the Quebec section's membership base, which will ultimately provide a better understanding of the specific needs of CQICTS members.

Without affecting the deployment of the organization's flagship activities or participation in those set up by CITT/ICTS, this introspection will have enabled the new directors and observers to gain a good understanding of the nature and operation of the organization, as well as solidifying its foundations.

Sandra Matte, CQICTS President

A Sense of Theatre

The Untold Story of Britain's National Theatre

April 28, 2025 would have been Richard Pilbrow’s 92nd birthday. Richard died at the end of 2023 but was fortunate to leave a book of memories and lessons.

A Sense of Theatre, his final work, tells the story of the National Theatre's creation and his own role in it as the inaugural lighting designer. Richard also worked as the National's theatre consultant for its new home on the River Thames. In the book, he explores the challenges the architects faced and how the building was designed, as well as the impact of the shows that were performed there. The book is lavishly illustrated and more than 500 pages long, and it is parting gift to the world. If you are fascinated by the National or any theatre, you'll love A Sense of Theatre.

As one of the first activities of PQ60, Prague Quadrennial organizes an international online symposium. This symposium intends to open the discussion about PQ as a unique global phenomenon by foregrounding the local histories, national and regional contributions, and international collaborations that have shaped its identity since its beginnings. They welcome brief contributions that open discussion through concrete historic case studies.

Applications open May 5, 2025 and close May 31, 2025
