At Faith United we care for one another! We care about those worshiping in person and online. We care about those who are out and about and we care about those who are homebound, in nursing homes, or in Senior Living facilities.
Do you know someone who is homebound or living in a nursing home and connected with our congregation? We are currently in the process of launching a new version of visitation ministry, and want to make sure that our lists are up to date! For someone to be added to the list, please follow this process:
Step 1: If the individual is not you, check with the individual about being added to our Homebound or Nursing Home / Senior Living lists. Let them know that this provides increased opportunity for one of our (soon to be) visitation team members to visit them, bring them communion, etc. In addition, this will make sure that they are on the pastor lists for visitation.
Step 2: That individual, or a member of that individual's family, will then call the church office and request to be added to the list. The church office will then confirm contact information for that person including an address and phone number.
In addition, if you would like to be a member of our visitation team, please reach out to Pastor Jake! This is a great way to serve God and the Church!

Group Leaders. Child Care Providers. Committee Members. Worship Team Leaders. Office Ministry Volunteers. Hospitality Ministry Volunteers. ALL Volunteers in any and all areas of Church life are encouraged to attend our annual leadership training!
Faith United could not do all that we do without your leadership! We want to make sure that you are equipped and empowered in the best ways for 2023.
The annual leadership training is an important opportunity to remember best practices, to learn about changes, and to do the best we can to serve the community God has entrusted to us!

Faith and Environment Weekly
To Save the Future, Live in the Present
Wendell Erdman Berry is an American novelist, poet, essayist, environmental activist, cultural critic, and farmer, closely identified with rural Kentucky:
"If using less energy would be a good idea for the future, that is because it is a good idea."
All we can do to prepare rightly for tomorrow is to do the right thing today.
The first right thing we must do today is to take thought of our history. We must act daily as critics of history so as to prevent, so far as we can, the evils of yesterday from infecting today.
What we must not do in our efforts of provision is to waste or permanently destroy anything of value. History informs us that the things we waste or destroy today may be needed on the morrow.
The right thing to do today, as always, is to stop, or start stopping, our habit of wasting and poisoning the good and beautiful things of the world, which once were called “divine gifts” and now are called “natural resources.”
We must act daily as critics of history so as to prevent, so far as we can, the evils of yesterday from infecting today.
There is in fact much at hand and in reach that is good, useful, encouraging, and full of promise, although we seem less and less inclined to attend to or value what is at hand.
The Takeaway – “The kingdom of heaven is at hand” because, if not at hand, it is nowhere.
