2023 UCR Registration Period Now Open with Reduced Fees

Registration for the 2023 UCR registration period is officially open, and fees have been reduced from the 2022 registration year as published in the federal register. Use UCR's Decision Tree to check whether your business is required to register and, if so, register by January 1, 2023.

Unified Carrier Registration Plan Board of Directors; Request for Nominations

The UCR Board of Directors is requesting nominations from among the Chief Administrative Officers of State Agencies from ‎FMCSA Region 4 to fill one vacancy for a term on the UCR Plan Board of Directors which expires on May 31, 2023‎; and nominations representing a motor carrier that falls within the smallest fleet fee bracket for appointment to the ‎UCR Plan Board of Directors to fill one vacancy for a term which expires on May 31, 2024.‎

All nominations and applications received for either currently vacant position described above ‎and submitted on or before November 15, 2022, will be forwarded to FMCSA‎.

UCR Policy Spotlight: Written Information Security Policy (WISP)

The purpose of this WISP is to:

(a) Ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal and other sensitive information the UCR Plan collects, creates, uses, and maintains.

(b) Protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security, confidentiality, integrity, or availability of such information.

(c) Protect against unauthorized access to or use of UCR Plan-maintained Personal Information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any individual.

(d) Define an information security program that is appropriate to the UCR Plan’s size, scope, and business, its available resources, and the amount of Personal Information that the UCR Plan owns or maintains on behalf of others, while recognizing the need to protect information.
