Phosphorus: Are We Part of the Solution or Part of the Problem?
New Friends board member Mary Russell recaps the conversation between author Dan Egan (“The Devil’s Element: Phosphorus and a World Out of Balance”) and John Reimer with the Dane County Land and Water Resources Department at the Friends’ Annual Meeting on January 10.
We are proud to welcome three new members to the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy Board of Directors. Jim Lerdahl, Kevin Munson, and Mary Russell were all elected to the Board at our Annual Meeting in January.
Conservancy Days: Connecting Community, Conservation, and Place
Tim Hansel, the Friends’ Education Coordinator, recaps recent Conservancy Days talks in November and January and looks ahead to the second event in March.
Middleton residents: Be sure to cast your ballot in the mayoral race (as well as the other local, county, and state races) in the spring election on April 7. We have sent a questionnaire to the city’s mayoral candidates asking them about issues related to the Conservancy and will send out a special newsletter with their responses as we get closer to the election.
