Company updates from 8-koi :: spring 2024

As we enter a new month, a new season in the abundance of spring – I’m also reminded of our unique diversity that makes 8-koi.

Recently, I was deeply moved by a heartfelt testimonial that underscored the importance of women's success in our industry, particularly from the perspective of someone who has spent over three decades navigating the complexities of the DoD and federal government.

Being a minority-owned business in this arena is a rarity and I'm profoundly grateful for the trust and support each of you has shown us.

Here's a snippet of what was shared with me:

"In the spirit of Women's History Month, it's extremely uplifting to witness women excel in your industry. Having worked in and around the DoD/federal government for over 30 years, it's rare to see Asian women lead (and own) companies."

When I founded 8-koi, my vision was clear: to establish a workplace where individuals could unite for a common purpose, providing for their families while nurturing a happy and fulfilling environment where legacies could endure.

I firmly believe that by being exemplary employers, we inherently become superior service providers to our clients. Our actions are guided by our core values – Passion, Excellence, Dependability, Thoughtfulness – which serve as the compass directing our every decision and action.

At 8-koi, we're more than just a design, build, staff, and supply company. We're dedicated to nurturing relationships, building trust and delivering optimal value promptly to all our stakeholders. We take pride in fostering an emotionally intelligent workplace where every individual is valued, respected and empowered to contribute meaningfully.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your trust and support. Together we will continue to shape the future of 8-koi and make a positive impact in our community and industry.

Your feedback is invaluable in this journey. Please connect and share.

With gratitude,

Inga I. Young
Founder and President
