51 PANACEA DEBUTS AT

PALM BEACH BOAT SHOW

The Palm Beach International Boat Show was stellar in every way. The

weather, location and lots of enthusiastic boaters combined to make it an event to remember.

The reception that Intrepid received for the debut of the all-new 51 Panacea was a highlight for our team. So many of you have been following along with the development of our largest boat yet, and the positive comments we received were so encouraging.

As I’ve mentioned before, the 51 Panacea has demonstrated exceptional performance in sea trials. When a 38,000-pound boat can run at 71 miles per hour with 900 gallons of fuel on board, you know you have a phenomenal hull and overall design.

Following the show, we had the opportunity to take the new model out with a long-time customer who has owned many Intrepids. Describing his experience on the 51 Panacea, he said,

“This is a war tank that displaces like a

Ferrari Formula One car.”

UPCOMING EVENTS

Be sure to mark your calendars for the upcoming Sarasota Boat Show, April 21-23. It’s a unique boating event on the sunset side of Florida that you don’t want to miss.

Also, the Intrepid Nation will be gathering again at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo for the Owners Rendezvous, July 13-16. Space is limited, so make your reservations early – reservations open on April 1.

MARKET REPORT

GREAT TIME IN PALM BEACH

I would like to thank everyone who came out to see us at the Palm Beach

International Boat Show. As always, it was a top-notch experience in every way … no wonder that it is the most popular boating event of the year for many guests.

The reception we received for our new models was another reason the boat show was so enjoyable for myself and the Intrepid team. People were so enthusiastic about the debut of our 51 Panacea along with the recently released 427 Nomad SE. We sold several at the show, and that’s the ultimate validation that all our innovation, design and craftsmanship is truly appreciated.

MORE IN STORE FOR 2023

Our next event is the Sarasota Boat Show, April 21-23. We’ll be there to showcase several models and enjoy a great time in this beautiful setting in the west coast of Florida.

In July, we’re returning to the Ocean Reef Club for our summer celebration, the Intrepid Owners’ Rendezvous. This island resort features a world-class marina, championship golf, fine dining and non-stop entertainment.

I hope to see many of you there!

Best,
Alex Rizo

THE CAPTAIN'S CORNER

TIME TO SERVICE YOUR BOAT FOR SUMMER

The end of winter is just around the corner and it’s time to get ready for a summer season of boating. If your boat’s been in storage, now is the time to test systems to assure trouble free days on the water in the coming months. Engine service, cleaning and polishing, and maintenance of all systems are chores that need to be done now. Boat yards get very busy at this time of the year, so it’s best to plan for spring work as soon as possible.

AN ELEVATED EXPERIENCE AT THE BOAT SHOW

Thanks to all who came to visit us at the Palm Beach Boat Show this month, we had a great show. I’m always happy to see all our friends who come to say hello. It’s always a pleasure to get to catch up and spend time together exchanging our “sea stories”. Our newest model, the 51 Panacea, was in the show and everyone loved it. We also had our 427 SE Nomad and the 41 Valor on display.

Our good friends at Neptune Boat Lifts installed one of their lifts at the show. We kept our 41 Valor on this lift with the A-Sea Lifted system installed and operating. This allowed us to keep the air conditioner running throughout the boat show even though the boat was out of the water. This was especially nice on the particularly hot days we had last weekend and is a great way to keep your boat cool with a lower humidity level in the cabin while the boat is up on the lift. There’s a submersible pump that feeds raw water through the system and allows the air-conditioning to be used in the same manner that you would use it if the boat were launched. Complete information can be viewed by opening the link below.

BILGE PUMPS

Bilge pumps are one of the most important pieces of equipment on your

Intrepid, as they can be a lifesaver! It’s essential to know where the pumps are, and then to check their functionality on a regular basis.

There are usually two pumps in your center aft bilge compartment, and one or two mounted forward. You can view the bilge pump chapter from the video owner’s manual for the 477 Evolution by clicking the link below. It’s a good refresher for a typical pump installation, so please take a minute to review the details of use and operation of your bilge pumps.

HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON

Our next show will be held in Sarasota from April 21st through the 23rd. We will look forward to seeing all our West Coast friends at that venue. Our standing invitation to visit our factory is still in effect, so please let me know if you’re ever in the Tampa Bay area so that we can arrange to get together and show you why Intrepids are different than anything else that’s built.

Happy Boating,
Joe
