Town of Addison Offices Closed on January 1

Both the Athletic Club and Town offices will be closed on Monday, January 1 for New Year's Day. If you need assistance when offices are closed, please call the non-emergency dispatch number at 972-450-7156.

Trash Service Slides Over One Day the Week of New Year's

The week of January 1, Monday trash and recycling pickup will slide to Tuesday and Thursday pickup will slide to Friday.

Just a reminder that bags/waste may be placed curbside after 6pm the day before collection or before 7am the day of collection. During holiday weeks, CWD crews consolidate routes and may be in Addison earlier than usual, so it's important to have trash placed out on the curb no later than 7am.

All receptacles must be removed from the curb within 12 hours of pickup.

Survey 2 Extended to January 31

If you haven’t completed the most recent Advance Addison survey yet, you can still fill it out online through January 31, 2024, and be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card to an Addison business.

This survey is a critical step in the community engagement process for this plan and will cover the following topics:

• Community Perception
• Community Vision, Guiding Principles, and Desired Outcomes
• Land Use & Development Character
• Housing and Neighborhoods
• Economic Development & Revitalization
• Mobility and Connectivity
• Infrastructure, Public Amenities, and the Environment

The project team will use the input gathered from this survey to develop initial scenarios, which will be discussed and refined further in future in-person and online activities. Once a consensus vision for the future has been achieved, innovative planning strategies will be developed to guide the long-term implementation of that vision. Your progress can be saved if you need to complete the survey in more than one sitting.

Last Weekend to See Vitruvian Lights

Vitruvian Park transforms into a magical holiday wonderland during Vitruvian Lights. The lights will be on daily from 5pm – 11pm through Monday, January 1, 2024. Free parking Monday - Thursday is available onsite at Vitruvian Park in the Park Road and Ponte Avenue parking lots.

Free parking Friday - Sunday is available at the following locations:

• Vitruvian Park – Park Road and Ponte Avenue parking lots
• Alfred J. Loos Sports Complex – 3815 Spring Valley Road
