BOLLINGEN CONFERENCE
October 18, 2026 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
First Community, 3777 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43221
In Person and by Zoom
You still have time to register for Dr. Glen Slater’s timely conversation on Jung and AI at the Bollingen Conference!
Our speaker, Dr. Glen Slater, explains the purpose of the morning session as follows:
Alongside the many benefits of information technologies and online life, a number of psychosocial problems are implicated in this underlying fragmentation. These problems include an omnipresence of disinformation, blurring lines between the actual and the virtual, and epidemics of anxiety, depression and loneliness….
In this presentation, I will turn to C. G. Jung’s understanding of archetypal patterns and psychodynamics to engage these matters. A focus will be on the contrast between the integrative experiences Jung emphasized and the dissociative style of consciousness that pervades today’s digital lifestyle.
With respect to the afternoon workshop, Dr. Slater states:
This workshop will consider our habits of mind in the digital age, the differences between conscious and intelligence, the re-enchantment of ways of knowing, and the redemptive prospect of a more creative way forward—one that taps the wisdom of the psyche and accounts for the fullness and depth of our humanity.
