Now midway through their season, the Pensacola State Women’s Softball team split a doubleheader against Tallahassee State College on March 22. In the first game, the Eagles struck first, stringing together four singles in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead. Pensacola finally got on the board in the sixth inning, ultimately winning the game 3-2. In the second game, the wheels came off for the Pirates as they lost 7-1. Despite matching Tallahassee with seven hits, PSC could not string theirs together.
The Pirates return to action this afternoon, March 26, hosting Gulf Coast State at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and then head to Chipola College next Wednesday for a two-game series. Learn more about the team’s season at https://athletics.pensacolastate.edu/sports/sball/index
