A local favorite for many, Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille offers great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and premium sunset views over the water. But for Pensacola State College photography students, it also provides a unique opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. 

What’s blooming at the free Spring Festival of Flowers on the Pensacola State College Milton campus? Virtually anything plant enthusiasts could want – and more!

The University of Florida/IFAS and the PSC Milton campus will host the Annual Spring Festival of Flowers from Friday, April 4, through Sunday, April 6, from 9 a.m. – 4. 

Five nursing students from Pensacola State College have been chosen to participate in the prestigious Florida Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Scholars Program. The students — Sara Barvoza Charupe, Gretchen Connelly, Elliot Knieper, Shana Nicholas and Kailee Sharp — were selected from a competitive pool of 150 candidates statewide. 

Sophomore women’s basketball guard Katiya Casey (#3) may be a familiar face to sports fans, but there is more to this dynamic young lady than knowing how to lead a team on the court. A Crestview native, Katiya wanted to play basketball for PSC so her family could travel easily to watch her play. 

Pensacola State College has long been home to athletic greatness, with stories of perseverance and triumph passed down long after athletes move on. Yet, few rival the personal success story of Savannah (Walker) Reckenwald - a 6’2” former PSC women’s basketball player whose journey is one of resilience, determination and transformation.
