A Strong Leadership Structure

for the Exciting Road Ahead

To All Mohawk Medbuy, Plexxus and 3SO Staff,

In preparation for the unification of our three organizations through the amalgamation and acquisition process taking effect on April 1, I am pleased to share the leadership structure for the new Mohawk Medbuy to support our expanded Membership and lead our transformation.

These important updates lay the foundation for the integration of our people, processes and other aspects of our business that we’ll be working to optimize over the next 12–18 months. We’ve taken a bold, exciting step – and together, we’re building a healthier supply chain for Canadians. The following changes are effective as of April 1, 2023:

Lynne Hudson will assume the role of Chief Transformation Officer, reporting to the CEO, with responsibility for leading the overall transformation and integration process. She will also continue to oversee the unique service streams of legacy Plexxus and lead the creation of the new service lines that coordinate and align with the onboarding of 3SO.

Reporting to Lynne will be Lorena Ferino, Tara Bal, Mike Rosetti and the Account Management Director team of Brad Harkin, Carmelo Scaffidi, Jennifer Inkpen and Jasmine Randhawa. To ensure all aspects of the transformation are fully supported and coordinated, MMC will engage select external experts, including Deloitte, who will provide overall project management for the multitude of complex workstreams.

Lorena Ferino will take on the role of Senior Vice President, SAP Services and continue to lead her current team. Lorena’s oversight will include legacy Plexxus systems, including Allscripts, the SAP service stream for Members, and the significant technology investment in the S/4HANA upgrade. Over the coming months, Lorena will work alongside Tom Warner on the integration and transition of common IT systems and processes.

Tara Bal will assume the position of Senior Vice President, Member Business Services. Tara’s current team will continue to report to her as she provides interim oversight for legacy Plexxus Finances and works alongside Tom Warner to consolidate financial processes. Tara’s responsibilities will include the Accounts Payable service line across the legacy MMC, Plexxus and COPHA organizations. Ryan Martens, Director Accounts Payable Services & Site Facilities Management, will now report to Tara. She will also take on leadership for Contract Management and Purchasing, including the automation of these activities into one platform. Sarah Milan, Director, Contract Management & Purchasing, and her teams will report to Tara.

Tom Warner, Chief Financial Officer & Vice President, Information Technology & Business Analytics will assume leadership for Finance and internal IT across the organization and continue to report to the CEO. Tom’s current direct reports remain the same. Over the coming months, Tom will work alongside Lorena and Tara to integrate internal Finance and IT as well as work with the 3SO team to fully integrate the Finance and IT functions.

Peter Longo will continue to report to the CEO in his role of Chief Operating Officer, enhancing and strengthening supply chain offerings across the organization. Peter will have overall leadership of Strategic and Local Sourcing, Pharmacy & Clinical Services,  Innovation, Government, Capital, Nutrition & Redevelopment, Linens Services and Logistics/HLI.

Reporting to the COO, Paul Holland, Senior Vice President, Logistics, will take on the leadership of distribution for MMC and Plexxus under the HLI umbrella. In addition to his current team, Wendy Lieb, Director of Logistics, and MMC’s Logistics team will now report to Paul. He will continue to support the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (MPBSD) and Supply Ontario, as it relates to PPE Supply Chain & Operations.

Dale Thomson will take on the role of Senior Vice President, Sourcing and work alongside Marc Lemaire, Senior Vice President, Sourcing, both of whom will report to the COO. Over the coming months Marc and Dale will lead the integration of the clinical and non-clinical categories within strategic and local sourcing, overseeing some of Canada’s largest RFPs and contracts. The current direct reports and teams of Dale and Marc in Sourcing will remain the same at this time.

In addition to the tremendous growth of MMC’s Pharmacy business that Ally Dhalla has led, his role will expand to Senior Vice President, Pharmacy and Clinical Services & Innovation. Ally will now have oversight of the Clinical Team supporting MMC’s various lines of businesses. Ally, along with Raechel Griffin, Vice President, Capital, Redevelopment, FFE & Nutrition Services and Matt Speak, Vice President, Linens Services, will continue to report to the COO.

Complementing and working closely with the operating divisions, Janice Mundell will assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President, Strategy, reporting to the CEO. She will continue to provide leadership for Marketing & Communications, Governance & Board Management, ESG & Indigenous Partnerships and the Project Management Office. With MMC’s addition of three new regional offices over the last 12 months, Janice will take on the additional role of creating regional strategic plans to support all the services we provide centrally.

I am pleased to share that Paul McAuley will serve as Vice President, Eastern Ontario Region, reporting to Janice. The legacy 3SO team will continue to report to Paul as he leads the critical integration of their activities and delivery of new services to our Members in Eastern Ontario.

In addition, Janice will take on leadership for Member Engagement, with Denis Potvin, Director, Acquisitions & Customer Onboarding and his team reporting to her. Natalia Djawadi, Project Manager, will now report to Denis Potvin. Grant Beamish, Director, Marketing & Communications will assume leadership of these areas across the organization. Along with his current team, Chantelle Bani, Manager, Marketing & Communications, will now report to Grant. Bartek Lasota, Director, Supply Chain Transformation and Veronica Guido, Director, Indigenous Partnerships & Strategies, will continue to report to Janice.

Tricia McGrath will take on the newly created role of Chief People Officer, reporting to the CEO. Tricia will assume leadership for Human Resources, Organizational Development and culture across the organization. Ani Almeida, Director of Human Resources, and her current team will now report to Tricia. Tricia will also have responsibilities for Facilities Management, including the oversight of office locations and space, working alongside Ryan Martens to execute a holistic strategy for MMC’s expanded footprint.

Please join me in congratulating our Leadership Team on their roles – and in thanking them for their commitment to the exhaustive due diligence process and pre-work they undertook in preparation for our new organization. Moving forward, each leader will work with their teams on integration plans for their respective areas. These will be carefully led, managed and coordinated across the organization over the coming months as part of this transformation.

Sincerely,

Tony DiEmanuele
