Not sure where to start on your Energy Efficiency or Home Decarbonization Journey? Sign up for a half-hour virtual or in-person Energy Coaching session. Energy Coaching sessions are designed to help consumers who:
- Are unsure where to start with utilizing Energy Efficiency programs
- Need help evaluating which program or financing options to take advantage of
- Want help navigating the next steps of a program you have already started
- Need help prioritizing which recommendations from their energy assessment they should do first.
If you choose an in-person appointment, it will be held at the Compact office at 261 Whites Path, Unit 4, in South Yarmouth.

By sharing your Earth Day activities, you not only inspire others to take action but also contribute to a growing network of individuals committed to preserving our planet.

Host on the Coast!
Deadline to apply: June 1
Interested in housing a student who is doing real, impactful work to support sustainable and affordable housing on Cape Cod? The Massachusetts Housing and Climate Innovation Center is looking for residents to host Housing and Climate All-Stars for 8-weeks (starting mid-June through mid-August) this summer while they undertake projects to improve climate resilience, environmental sustainability and affordability in our Cape Cod communities.
Host families will receive a stipend of $150/week to offset costs.

Climate Change: What Homeowners Should Know & What They Can Do
March 25 | Snow Library, Orleans
Cape Cod, jutting into the Atlantic Ocean, faces significant threats from climate change, but there are solutions, and you can be part of them. Join the Orleans and Harwich Climate Action Networks, the Eastham Climate Action Committee, and Shelly McComb, Coastal Resilience Specialist for Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Sea Grant, to explore local and global coastal challenges. Shelly, with a background in environmental and sustainability studies, works directly on coastal resilience planning and will share practical strategies for strengthening our communities.

Climate Change's Impact on Homeowners Insurance
Climate change is driving extreme weather, causing massive home damage and soaring insurance costs. Insurers are withdrawing from high-risk areas like Florida, California, and Cape Cod or hiking premiums, leaving many uninsured.
With companies strictly assessing risk, the crisis highlights the need for urgent climate action. Government-backed FAIR plans provide last-resort coverage, but the real solution lies in cutting carbon emissions and mitigating disasters.
