This class is designed not only to inspire people to explore their goals and passions, but also to give them an actionable plan on how to navigate a new and evolving life phase. Retirement is no longer a destination, it's now a transition on a journey. It's more important to think about what you're retiring TO, rather than what you're retiring FROM.

Musicologists and scientists alike have been asking the question for decades: Why are humans so influenced by the power of music? This course will explore the human mind, the wonders of music, and the philosophy behind our appreciation of the art form.

If you find smartphones and tablets daunting, you will find this class a perfect introduction to connecting with our changing world of technology. This is a hands-on class with a focus on having fun with your iPad and/or iPhone.

Life can be painful, to say the least. This is reality. But what if, while dealing with the pain, we had a way to make suffering optional? This self-inquiry workshop is designed to challenge our painful world with four questions in order to pierce through habituated thinking, finding the world view that is both more accurate and more kind.

Have you ever wondered how much you might be like Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird," Ove in "A Man Called Ove," or Celie in "The Color Purple"?
In this course, as we analyze great literary characters, we will ask, how much are we like these memorable characters?

notes

In this class, we will make art and incorporate it into creative note folding with your choice of ABANDONING or keeping it. It's all about the joy of creating art!

In this guided listening series, we will listen to classical music and follow along with written program notes telling what to listen for. We will be able to identify when themes appear, are developed, and reappear to form a complete musical arc.
