Asphalt Green's Community Sports Leagues flag football is back! We're incredibly excited to kick off the 2022 season and welcome all of our teams — both new and returning — Saturday nights on Litwin Field.
This year, there are eight teams who will compete to win the 2022 Community Sports Leagues flag football championship. Last Saturday, players from several schools came out to showcase their skills in a series of competitive workouts and intense player combines.
Tomorrow, October 15 we're hosting the first official games of the season. Make sure to join us, and stay tuned to our weekly newsletter for coverage of the games and play tips to keep growing!

Tip of the Week:
Catch the Ball
|
Completed passes help win games. It may seem obvious, but it's worth mentioning.
In a recent interview, Jerry Jones, owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, stated, “People are covering your best receiver. That happens. What do you do? You’ve got to play through being covered. You’ve got to catch balls covered.”
Jones understands that receivers need to make a good catch to make the right plays on offense to lead to a win. When a quarterback throws a ball that hits the receiver's hands, it's the receiver's job to catch it.
Your hand placement for a catch will vary depending on the position of the incoming ball. Check out this presentation to learn about hand placements for various types of passes so that you are prepared to complete any pass thrown your way.
