Thank You, John. Welcome, Jim.
Good luck, Coach John.
John, to say your time in New York has been unprecedented is an understatement. These last two years have been bizarre. Having relocated days before the COVID-19 pandemic, experiencing a New York City lockdown, and being furloughed in your first few weeks of employment should make for a fun story—down the line. What we hope follows in those stories, are the lasting memories of the relationships you made, and the team you led.
Thank you for helping us navigate through the pandemic, and for finding creative ways to support our team’s continued growth and development.
We wish you all the best in your travels to Myanmar, and know that you’ll do wonderful things as you return to the international school system. Stay safe and good luck. We hope your renewed beginnings allow you to stay close to the water.

Welcome, Jim and Manny.
We’re excited to announce Jim Wu as Asphalt Green’s newest AGUA Masters Head Coach, and Manny Caballero as Lead Masters Coach in Battery Park City.
After a nationwide search, we are confident Coach Jim Wu will continue Asphalt Green’s tradition of excellence. If you haven’t seen the announcement, you can do so here.
Coach Jim will be on deck in June and begin leading practices later this summer. In the meantime, be on the lookout for invitations to both a virtual introduction and an in-person meet-and-greet.
Coach Manny will take the lead in Battery Park City and report to Jim. With over seven years at Asphalt Green, mostly recently coaching the AGUA Swim Team, we are excited to see Manny captain this role.
Please introduce yourselves to both of our new coaches on deck or via email at:
Special shout-out to all the coaches who have helped us continue to thrive during the search. You are the glue that holds us to together, and we appreciate everything you do.
