Talluto '94 to be Honored at Entrepreneur Event Benefiting Petrick Idea Center

Stand-out innovator Marc Talluto '94 will be recognized at the 2022 Bloomington-Normal Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Recognition Dinner, presented by Savant Wealth Management and Illinois Wesleyan University. 

Titan Athletics

Former IWU standout swimmer Ellen Gilbert '22 was named one of 30 semifinalists, and one of 10 in Division III, for the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Woman of the Year award. The award will be presented Jan. 12, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.

Capital City Hues (Madison, Wis.)

Moises Garcia '21 shares his experience as a first-generation Mexican American and the worldly experiences he gained through the IWU choir. He is a recipient of the Yo Soy award from the Latino Professionals Association of Madison, Wisconsin.

Reginald Lewis shared his passion and priorities for building notoriety for Illinois Wesleyan music performances as IWU's new jazz program director.

Michael Pulia '01, M.D., Ph.D., has been named a Fellow by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the nation’s leading infectious diseases professional society. Fellowship in IDSA is one of the highest honors in the field of infectious diseases. 


Kenny Tran '17 voices the character "Logs" on the animated Netflix show, Dead End: Paranormal Park.


Valeria Viteri-Pflucker '22 received a Best of Show award for a painting at the Society of Physics Students 2022 Physics Congress in Washington, D.C.


Wellness Corner

We are just SIX weeks away from Thanksgiving & the holiday season. Time to get in shape before the holiday 10 pounds!


  • Yoga will take place at 12:15-12:55 p.m. on Monday and Thursday in the Niepagen South Classroom in the Shirk Center. 
  • Personal Fitness will take place at 4:45-5:15 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in the Niepagen South Classroom in the Shirk Center.
  • Fitness Walking on Wednesday at 12:15-12:45 p.m. at the Shirk Center indoor track (indoors this week due to lower temperature)

Open Enrollment will begin Monday, Nov. 14. Human Resources is updating the Open Enrollment Guide for 2023.


We will hold two Zoom sessions to review your IWU benefits (noon on Monday, Nov. 14 and Tuesday, Nov. 15). Please watch for the Open Enrollment Guide and additional details coming soon.
