J.D. Barrett '23 Explores Limitless Opportunities at Illinois Wesleyan

Illinois Wesleyan University is featured in a recent episode of The College Tour, a television series that highlights colleges across the United States through the voices of students. In this segment from the episode, J.D. Barrett '23 shares his experience as an all-conference track athlete, elected leader on campus and participation in four internships while at IWU.

Bhavsar '23 Awarded the Lincoln Academy Student Laureate

Mishwa Bhavsar '23 has been named Illinois Wesleyan’s Student Laureate by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois, in recognition of leadership and service in curricular and extracurricular activities that emulate "excellence, service and honor.” 

Students Find ‘Best of Both Worlds’ at IWU Through Study of Art and Physics

Valeria Viteri-Pflucker '22 has always wanted to study “everything.” 

“However, everything is somewhat broad,” admitted the physics major, who also chose to minor in math, religion and history at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Women's basketball ran its win streak to four as the Titans claimed the Midwest Challenge Championship for the first time since 2018. Lauren Huber '25 paved the way in the title game with a 31-point, 12-rebound double-double as IWU handed WashU its first loss of the season.

3 p.m., Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington — Christmas Choral Concert — The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present a Christmas Choral Concert featuring the IWU Collegiate Choir and University Choir directed by Professor J. Scott Ferguson and special guests, the Maine West High School Choraliers with conductor James Schiffer; and Cantus Novus with guest conductor J. Scott Ferguson. The concert will include compositions by Borzym, Butler, Dunphy, Mendelssohn Sweelinck, Ord, Pärt, Sirett, Thompson, Wishart and others. The audience can join in the singing of three carols. Suggested donation is $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and IWU alumni, and $2 for high school and college students. For more information, call (309) 556-3061

  • Personal Fitness will take place at 4:45-5:15 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in the Niepagen South Classroom in the Shirk Center.
  • There will not be any Fitness Walking during the month of December, but look for a New Year challenge in January 2023!

Your current insurance benefit elections will continue into 2023 unless you want to make any of the following changes:


To make changes to your current coverage and/or to contribute to a Flex or HSA account, enrollment forms need to be completed and returned to HR by Friday, Dec. 2, 2022. 


Elections or changes you make during the open enrollment period will become effective Jan. 1, 2023.
