Titans Celebrate 358 Named Scholarships at Benefactor Dinner

The nature of giving and value of an Illinois Wesleyan education were celebrated at the university's Scholarship Benefactor Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 22 to kick off homecoming weekend. 

Five Titans Recognized Through Alumni Awards at Homecoming

Several stand-out alumni — Roger '64 and Carol '65 Thompson Sheldon, Ianne Fields Stewart '15, Marsha Guenzler-Stevens '78 and Joan Alverzo '72 — were honored with awards during the 2022 Homecoming and Family Weekend celebrations.

Internship, Job Fair Provides Opportunities for Students

Illinois Wesleyan University students are invited to attend the Hart Career Center’s Fall Internship and Job Fair on Monday, Oct. 3 from 4-7 p.m. in the Shirk Center.

After an unsettling discovery among their father's possessions, the gathering erupts into an explosive turn of events. Winner of the 2014-15 Obie Award for Best New American Play, Appropriate delves into the fractured dynamics of a dysfunctional white family coming to terms with the patriarch's disturbing past.

Whitney Leifheit '13 gave a presentation on Sept. 22 through the McLean County Chamber of Commerce titled "Immigrants Really Do Get the Job Done." Leifheit is an associate attorney with the law firm of Costigan & Wollrab, P.C., in Bloomington where she covers many areas of law, including immigration.

Wellness Corner

  • Yoga will take place at 12:15 p.m. on Monday and Thursday in the Niepagen South Classroom in the Shirk Center. 
  • Personal Fitness will take place at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at the Niepagen South Classroom in the Shirk Center.
  • Fitness Walking on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. on the west end of the Shirk Center track.

Titan Print and Mail Parking

Titan Print and Mail parking will be temporarily relocated to allow for construction work at the Memorial Center. Monday, Sept. 26, through the end of December, please park on the north side of Titan Print and Mail at the designated space. The current ADA access between Pfieffer Hall and Titan Print and Mail will still be available during this construction. This project will make way for the new location for the Office of Residential Life at the Memorial Center, which is scheduled to open in January of 2023.

Please extend condolences to Mitzi Runyard Timan, Administrative Specialist V in the School of Nursing, whose sister passed away Friday, Sept. 9. Her obituary may be viewed here
