A grant from the National Science Foundation will provide up to $600,000 in scholarships over the course of five years for at least 20 Titans who are studying to earn dual degrees in secondary education and a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). | |

Hat tricks by Liza Matimore '25 and Caelyn Steffens '23 led the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team to a 2-0 week. IWU posted back-to-back shutouts with a 6-0 win over Millikin and a 5-0 win over Wheaton to extend its shutout streak to 441 minutes. | |

7 p.m., Beckman Auditorium, The Ames Library — International Film Series: También la lluvia (Even the Rain) — Films in the series are shown in their original language with English subtitles; films are closely tied to courses or academic programs, and faculty members present a short introduction to each film, often with group discussions after the screening. Presented by Betty Ritchie-Birrer '47 and Ivan Birrer Endowed Professor and Chair of Political Science William Munro and the globalization and development class.

7-10 p.m., Hansen Student Center — TANGO Live Concert: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration — A special evening of Live Tango music with top musicians "Bandoneon Massacre Band" from Urbana-Champaign. Learn about the cultural heritage of Tango in the U.S. and locally, and hear the beauty of Argentine tango music. There will be performances, lessons, Milonga (social dance) and some tastes from Argentina. The Titan Pantry is located in Hansen Student Center near the Office of Student Involvement. Repurposed lockers hold canned goods, snacks, quick meals and hygiene items that can be taken anonymously. The pantry is open to anyone in the IWU community (students, staff or faculty) during regular Hansen hours. Anyone wishing to donate to the pantry can contact Courtney Turnbull at [email protected].
