Summer Concert Series

at Dundee Park

Join us at Dundee Park through the month of July for our 6th annual Summer Concert Series!


All concerts are from 6:30 - 8:00 PM and admission is FREE after 5 PM!

Concessions will be served by local community organizations.


Wednesday, July 6 – Time Pilots (Concessions provided by the Lions Club)


Tuesday, July 12 (*note the change of day*) – Flamin’ Raymond and Sizzlin’ Susan (Concessions provided by The American Legion Auxillary)


Wednesday, July 20 – Breakin’ Strings Band (Concessions provided by the Rotary Club)


Wednesday, July 27 – The Delta Knights Band (Concessions provided by Boy Scout Pack 805) 


Transportation to concerts is available for Windham seniors (55+) in need.

Maine Backyard Campout

Weekend of July 8th


Over the second weekend in July, families all across the state of Maine will participate in a backyard campout to celebrate National Parks and Recreation month. Enjoy the great outdoors right outside your own back door, or camp out as a family in your living room. This is a great way to enjoy the beauty of summer in Maine while enjoying time as a family.


When: The weekend starting Friday, July 8th - choose the night(s) that work best for you!

Where: Your backyard, your living room, or anywhere at your own home!

What: Post pictures or videos of you and your family making s'mores or building a fort to the Maine Backyard Campout facebook page to be entered into a prize drawing!

Summer Photo Contest

Have you captured that special moment with your child enjoying a lovely summer day, snapped a photo of your pet frolicking in the yard, or found that perfect photo opp to capture the beauty of summer in Maine? We would love to showcase your photograph!


2022 Categories: Family - Nature - Pets - Youth Photographer (under 18)

Maximum of 3 entries per person per category.


Contest opens on Monday, June 20th.

Dundee Park

Now Open for the Season!

A season pass allows families with 15 passenger max. vehicles unlimited visits to the park during the season.


Windham residents may request an additional pass for a household with multiple vehicles; non-residents may request a second pass at half price for a household with multiple vehicles.


Pass stickers may be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office, at Dundee Park's Gatehouse or Boathouse, or online at windhamrecreation.com.

Windham Community Park

The pavilion next to the pond is available for parties and get togethers! Reservation fees are $25 for the pavilion, with giant lawn games available for rent for an additional $15.

Three locations at Dundee Park are available to be reserved for groups of 20 or more: the Beach Pavilion, the Grove Pavilion, and the Picnic Area. Reservation fee is $60 for first 20 people, $3 for each additional.

Outdoor basketball and volleyball courts are available for reservation. Reservation fee is $25 per day per court, with equipment rental available for an additional $15.

Youth Programs

Bonus Camp

For Grades 1-5

Can't get enough of summer fun with Windham Parks & Recreation? We're excited to announce that we are holding Bonus Camp this summer to extend our day camp program!


"Bonus Camp HQ" will be at Dundee Park, with friendly camp counselors and your favorite camp activities. We'll be on the go throughout the week with three field trips and staying at Dundee Park for two days. Our summer camp counselors are looking forward to a great week together to wrap up our summer -- we hope you'll join us!

Dates: August 8 - August 12 (Weekly and M-W-F options available)

Location: Dundee Park

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Fee: $250 for full week, $150 for M-W-F only

Please Note: Bonus Camp is only open to children who are already registered for at least one week of 2022 Windham Summer Day Camp. Bonus Camp is for those entering grades 1-5 in Fall 2022, and runs August 8-12. Space is very limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Mad Science Camp

For Grades 1-6

Join Mad Science for a week of discovery and fun in this five-day Robotics Camp! Investigate robotics fundamentals with curious robots, learn about the history and current field of robotics, explore robot design potential by using robots that have big personalities, and build ingenious robots to take home. We welcome all children to become creative campers that will design tomorrow's robots today.

Dates: August 8 - August 12

Location: Windham Town Hall Gym

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Fee: $300

Middle School Monologues

Drama Program for 7th and 8th Graders

Join Be the Influence for a 4-day workshop focused on theater skills and improvisation where students will develop individual monologues to perform. Participants will enjoy brainstorming and creating a monologue that focuses on personal experiences in building resiliency a key concept in in every young person’s life.


Over the course of the first 4 sessions, students will complete a 2-4 minute monologue and work with professional actors on performance techniques through improvisation and practice. In the final session, students will perform their monologues for each other and potentially for a final larger audience.

Dates: August 16 - 19

Location: Town Hall Gym

Time: 9:00 - 11:00am

Fee: $20 (includes a t-shirt)

Slime Camp

For Grades 1-5

It's slime time! Spend a week creating new slime recipes that are only limited to your imagination! Learn the basics about how to make your own slime and how to make the most popular and trending slime recipes. Some of the slime is even edible! Be creative, work with your peers and play with your creations. Slime Camp lets you get your hands dirty and have fun, but leaves the mess in the classroom!

Dates: August 15 - 19

Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Playdates in the Park

For Ages 5 & Under

With the warmer weather, we're bringing our popular "Kiddie Gym" program outdoors! Preschoolers ages 5 and under are invited to join us on Tuesday and Friday mornings for fun with playmates on our Town Hall playground, along with other outdoor toys provided by Windham Parks and Recreation. We can't wait for these fun playdates!



This is a drop-in program; no pre-registration is required.


Dates: Tuesdays & Fridays, May 3 - September 30

Location: Windham Town Hall Playground

Time: 10:00-11:30 am

Fee: $2 per session per child

      $10 for 6-visit pass

     $25 for 15-visit pass

     $45 for 30 visit pass


Please note: Kiddie Gym passes will be honored for this program.


Maineiax Lacrosse Camp

For Grades 3-8

Dates: July 11 - July 14

Time: 1:30 - 4 PM 

Location: Lincoln Field  

Fee: $175 per camper (includes a tee shirt)

Adult Programs

Monday Night Basketball

Ages 21+

Adults ages 21+, please join us on Monday nights at the Windham Town Hall for basketball. Games will be played in a pick-up format.

Senior Programs (55+)

Monthly Lunches

One Friday per month, lunches will now be served at various locations around Windham. This month's lunch will be pizza provided by Pat's Pizza!


Registration and payment are required by 4:00 pm. on the Wednesday before each lunch. Registration can be done online (see link below), in person at the Parks and Recreation Dept. or call 892-1905.

Weekly Shopping

Join Windham Parks & Recreation every Thursday morning to go shopping in North Windham. This program is FREE for seniors who can't drive or get to a store on their own. Participants are required to call our office and reserve your spot between Monday - Wednesday of that week. The route and the times may vary slightly each week based upon the number of participants that reserve a spot. Picking up from different locations may require a slight wait. Call us at 892-1905 to reserve your spot.
