Princeton 4-H

“At the Princeton 4H meeting held on October 9, 2023 we took roll. After roll we started to fill out record book forms. We were writing what we did in the last meeting and what we did this meeting in the record books. We also made butterscotch marshmallows and put sprinkles and eye balls on them. We also made paper pumpkins. After all of that we took a group photo.” By Wyatt Roach

Colusa 4-H

Colusa 4-H had a spooktacular costume meeting on Monday October 23rd. We started off with our primary meeting learning about being an officer and how to run a meeting. They all did a great job keeping the meeting in order! We have some great potential officers coming up in a few years. We concluded our primary meeting with a Halloween parade and a little monster mash!

We kicked off our general club meeting with our awards ceremony recognizing our hardworking and dedicated members who continue to be involved in 4-H year after year. In addition to our awards, we also collected over 200 cans for the community food drive.

Our next meeting will be on Monday, December 11th where we will collect new unwrapped toys to donate to Colusa County Children's Services to give to families in need for Christmas. We are looking forward to some exciting guest speakers at a few of our upcoming club meetings.

Attention 4-H Club Members: If you attend a 4-H event, you are welcome to submit an article to let us know about it! Send us a picture, and tell us the who, what, where, and why, plus something that you learned! The deadline to submit is by the 20th of the month. And, it will count in your record book!
