| | Town Council Meeting on January 26 | | |
The Town will hold a Council meeting on January 26, 2026, at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Town Council meetings are being conducted using a hybrid model where members of Council can participate in person at Town Hall or electronically via Zoom.
At this time, members of the public are encouraged to view the meeting by watching the live stream through the Town’s Municipal Calendar web page.
Should you wish to delegate to a Council meeting, please complete the online delegation form no later than one business day before the meeting is to be held.
If you would like to submit feedback, please email your comments to clerks@haltonhills.ca Comments submitted will be circulated to Council Members in advance of the meeting and will be part of the public record.

Intention to Designate under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act – 8519 Ninth Line (Esquesing)
The subject property is located on the northeast side of Ninth Line (Esquesing) within the Town of Halton Hills. The property is a rectangular-shaped lot and features a twoand-a-half-storey red-brick building. The property was listed on the Town’s Heritage Register during Phase 1 of the Town’s Heritage Register process (2010) and was identified as an outstanding example of a late nineteenth-century farmhouse.

Exhibition Talk: Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour
Join us in the Helson Gallery on January 24 for a presentation on the history of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC). Past-president and elected member, Marlene Madole will give an informative talk about the CSPWC since its inception in 1925 by 12 prominent Canadian Artists.
The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour 100th Anniversary Members Exhibition is currently on view in the Helson Gallery until February 1, 2026.

Town Reorganization Establishes new Corporate & Emergency Services Department
Achieving efficiencies and utilizing talent was the impetus behind the corporate restructuring brought forward by the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer Chris Mills. The reorganization amalgamates the Corporate Services Department and the Fire Department into a new Corporate and Emergency Services Department under the leadership of Jon Rehill, former Fire Chief and Commissioner.

The Town of Halton Hills has a new Community Grant Program (CGP) that is NOW accepting funding requests for eligible community events, projects, and initiatives until 4 p.m., Feb. 27, 2026. Visit the new webpage on the programs four funding streams - Community Investment, Environmental Stewardship, Neighbourhood Projects, and Special Events.
To learn more about this funding program, drop by the CGP OPEN HOUSE between 6 and 8 p.m., Jan. 29, 2026, in the Alcott Room (2nd floor) at Mold-Masters SportsPlex (221 Guelph St., Georgetown).

Downtown Georgetown Traffic Calming
The Town of Halton Hills is proposing traffic calming measures for Downtown Georgetown. An operational safety review was initiated in response to numerous residential concerns regarding excessive speeding, road safety, and aggressive driving. As a result, a proposed traffic calming plan has been developed to enhance safety for all road users.
