Blossom Hill Vision Statement – (Abilities and skills we expect our students to acquire and take out into the world)

All students will have the necessary skills to become enthusiastic, life-long learners and productive, empathetic, respectful members of society.

Blossom Hill Mission Statement – (What we need to do as a school community to ensure this happens)

The Blossom Hill School community takes pride in providing an enriched standards-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to appreciate an awareness of students’ developmental needs to help them progress toward independence.

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Blossom Hill Families:

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the numerous events and activities we have had the good fortune to host recently.

Last Thursday night, our learning community was treated to an engaging event full of fun hosted by Mathnasium, parent Francie Shore, Math Specialist Fran Mastroianni, Fisher student volunteers (including many BH alumni), our Home & School Club, and the following parent volunteers: Suzanne Errecart, Matthew Clemente, Nidi Vashisht, Yiyan Wu, Laura Inozemtseva, and Preeti Lal.

This highly anticipated, annual event included a variety of math games to support the development of math fact fluency and number sense, problem solving skills, spatial sense, measurement, estimation, patterns, and representation where mathematical ideas are made “real” by using words, pictures, symbols, and objects. After two years of successful Zoom Math Nights, it was wonderful to be back in-person.

We have another exciting evening event planned for this Thursday, October 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 when we will be hosting our first ever STEAM Night (rescheduled due to last month’s heat wave) sponsored by One Community and highlighting the innovative work of our STEAM Teachers on Special Assignment: Ramil Ochoa, Kristin Tylko and Michael Stock. I hope you can join us.

Thank you to everyone who has made their annual contribution to the One Community Campaign. It is your donation that makes these educational, community building events possible. If you have not had the opportunity to make your contribution, please consider doing so here. Thank you.

In education together,

Walk, Bike, Scoot, or Carpool to School!

Safe Routes to School and the Honeybee Power Programs are back! Students who walk, bike, Scoot, or Carpool to school October 4-7 can enter to win prizes by scanning their Honeybee Power cards at entry gates along Blossom Hill and Cherry Blossom road before school. Parents are needed to help track students on Thursday, October 6 before school. We are also looking for Fisher Middle School Students to help scan students on Monday mornings throughout the year for our Honeybee Power program. Data collected through these programs help the local Safe Routes to School Chapter work with the town and police department in allocating resources for student safety.
