Blossom Hill Vision Statement – (Abilities and skills we expect our students to acquire and take out into the world)

All students will have the necessary skills to become enthusiastic, life-long learners and productive, empathetic, respectful members of society.

Blossom Hill Mission Statement – (What we need to do as a school community to ensure this happens)

The Blossom Hill School community takes pride in providing an enriched standards-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to appreciate an awareness of students’ developmental needs to help them progress toward independence.

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Blossom Hill Families:

This Tuesday, we had the good fortune to host two science assemblies presented by Professor Smart. The name of his show was, “Fun with Physics'' and that was exactly what transpired during the hour. Our students had their curiosity sparked by Professor Smart’s clever use of lenses, learning about the three forms of matter, and playing with gravity, air pressure, levers and fulcrums, static electricity, and optical illusions. The Professor also highlighted using the power of the Scientific Method for asking those questions that we all wonder about and figuring out answers by thoughtfully generating a hypothesis, holding trials to test a proposal, and developing a conclusion based on results. It was a great kick-off to the upcoming BH Science Fair and made possible by our parent Science Fair coordinators, Melissa Crow and Michelle Avlas, along with your donation to One Community LG.

Along with the Fun with Physics show and Science Fair information sessions held last week in the library, this Friday’s Honeybee Hangout hosted by the H & SC will include display boards from past Science Fairs and the opportunity to ask Melissa, Michelle, and myself any questions you may have about the event.

The February 3rd Honeybee hangout starts at 7:45 and runs until 8:10 and has been moved to the MPR as there is a significant chance of rain on Friday morning. We will get back to hosting the Honeybee Hangouts in our beautifully renovated courtyard just as soon as the weather cooperates. Please bring your family to connect and share moments with staff, other parents, and students. Donuts, coffee, and juice will be provided.
