Blossom Hill Vision Statement – (Abilities and skills we expect our students to acquire and take out into the world)

All students will have the necessary skills to become enthusiastic, life-long learners and productive, empathetic, respectful members of society.

Blossom Hill Mission Statement – (What we need to do as a school community to ensure this happens)

The Blossom Hill School community takes pride in providing an enriched standards-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to appreciate an awareness of students’ developmental needs to help them progress toward independence.

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Blossom Hill Families:

I have some very exciting news to share. Blossom Hill Elementary has been identified as a 2023 California Distinguished School! In order to be recognized, a school must meet specific eligibility criteria in two categories: 1) Closing the Achievement Gap and 2) Exceptional Student Performance. This recognition is a testament to the exemplary work of your child(ren), your commitment to our learning community, and the work of our teachers, classified team, Home & School Club, One Community LG, and district office team.

In the past when we received this award, we went through a rigorous application process and verification visit. That process is no longer required. The state is using a multiple measures accountability system to identify schools based on their performance on the state indicators, as specified on the California School Dashboard. Information about the Dashboard is available at: https://www.caschooldashboard.org

The work being done at school and in the homes of our Blossom Hill families is incredibly important, so thank you for your partnership in fostering a learning environment where students look forward to learning, growing friendships, and blossoming.

In education together,

Lisa Reynolds & The BH Team
