The Beehive

Issue 28

2022-2023

Blossom Hill Vision Statement – (Abilities and skills we expect our students to acquire and take out into the world)

All students will have the necessary skills to become enthusiastic, life-long learners and productive, empathetic, respectful members of society.

Blossom Hill Mission Statement – (What we need to do as a school community to ensure this happens)

The Blossom Hill School community takes pride in providing an enriched standards-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to appreciate an awareness of students’ developmental needs to help them progress toward independence.

From the Principal's Desk

This Friday, 3/10 is our March Honeybee Hangout and your chance to meet our STEAM TOSA's who will open up the space for our new STEAM Lab! We will have designs and plans so parents can get a sneak peek into what's coming. Please note a change in the way our Honeybee Hangouts will work going forward...students in line for a donut will need to be accompanied by a parent. The intention is to be thoughtful of children with allergies and to be sure that students enjoying a donut before school have the permission of their parent. And don't forget the dress up day - (Mad) Scientist or Spirit Gear!

Special Notice from Administration

Safety of our students, staff and families is our first priority. Over the past year we have partnered with Knowledge Saves Lives, a safety industry leader, to access our school sites and update our safety training. With that in mind, on March 22, all Elementary Schools will participate in  lockdown procedure training. Following best practices, staff will be prepared to respond to a variety of emergency situations.

Due to the intense nature of the training, outside visitors and students will not be allowed on campus during the trainings. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Principal Reynolds at lreynolds@lgusd.org. She will be happy to assist you. We collectively appreciate your support and want to help address any concerns as we continue to enhance our safety protocols.
