Blossom Hill Vision Statement – (Abilities and skills we expect our students to acquire and take out into the world)

All students will have the necessary skills to become enthusiastic, life-long learners and productive, empathetic, respectful members of society.

Blossom Hill Mission Statement – (What we need to do as a school community to ensure this happens)

The Blossom Hill School community takes pride in providing an enriched standards-based curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to appreciate an awareness of students’ developmental needs to help them progress toward independence.

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Blossom Hill Families:

Thank you for attending our first round of Parent/Teacher Conferences for the 2022-23 school year. The strong Home/School partnership forged throughout our learning community is a key factor in supporting students’ happiness, social/emotional growth, and academic success.

I would like to offer appreciation to all who are visiting the Hicklebee’s Book Fair this week to support our school library! The little store with a BIG reputation is once again providing us with a vast array of reading material for kids of all ages. Sincere appreciation goes to Francine Shore, Nicole Duke and Rebecca Escobar for chairing the event. Also key to success are the dedicated volunteers who are tirelessly contributing their time and energy to set-up the displays, assist students in finding books, and on Friday packing everything up and returning the library to its original state. How fortunate we are to have such dedicated parents supporting our students as they discover and revel in the joys of reading! Thank you to: Trista Bernstein, Jennifer Borrelli, Yoony Chang, Melissa Crow, Ellen Feichtmeir, Cortney Frantz, Stephane Fustar, Michael Gomez, Dana Green, Kristin Hutchinson, Laura Inozemtseva, Dan Kelly, Shailja Kumari, Bruce Newman, Jane Panatopolous, Rachel Pandipati, Julie Reynolds, Shweta Singhal, Susie Sommerstad, Coral Soto, Shaonan Tian, Puja Wadhawan, Ebru Yukler, and Caroline Zamansky.

Great gratitude also goes to Mrs. Grespan who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly and students and their families have ample opportunity to visit the Book Fair with extended hours. With her passion for reading and sharing books, kind heart, and extensive talent for problem solving, she is a guiding light in the library and a treasured member of the BH learning community.

During the week, it hasn’t been uncommon to see students walking across campus with their noses in a book ~ true bookworms, not able to pull their attention away from the written word. It is evident that fostering a love of reading is the greatest benefit of this event! Thank you for your support in making reading a priority at Blossom Hill School.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday and take time to reflect together on all the blessings in our lives, the staff and I want to thank you for your ongoing kindness, support, and generous contributions. Our school is a very special place due to your efforts and commitment to education.

We send our best wishes to you and your family for a Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, laughter, and love.

With gratitude,

Lisa Reynolds & the Blossom Hill Team
