The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) is seeking to nominate one candidate for the 2026 St. Baldrick’s Foundation Fellowship Award for pediatric oncology research. Interested applicants should review the attached guidelines for full eligibility and submission requirements.


Applicants

  • Must have an M.D. or D.O. degree by the date the grant becomes effective
  • Should be in their second or third year of pediatric oncology fellowship by July 1, 2026 - exceptions are allowed for a research residency format (two years of residency, four years of fellowship)
  • Must have a fellowship mentor who provides supervision, facilities, and research support at an American Board of Pediatrics approved fellowship program in pediatric hematology/oncology
  • May not hold an appointment of assistant professor or above
  • St. Baldrick’s funds may not be used for human embryonic stem cell research


Budget Information

  • The total award shall not exceed $97,500 per year (over two years)
  • This amount is to cover salary and benefits only
