Join together with colleagues and students as we thank Melanie for her tireless dedication and leadership to the students, staff, faculty, and administrators of American River College.

Question, Persuade, Refer: Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training
The Los Rios Center for Mental Health and Wellness is hosting a Question Persuade Refer (QPR) training on Monday, December 19, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. This event is a suicide awareness and prevention training for students and employees. QPR is an evidence-based curriculum that provides simple techniques anyone can use to recognize suicidal clues and warning signs, how to intervene, and support with the person getting help.
Training is capped at 30 participants so please email CRC-HealthAndWellness@crc.losrios.edu to register.

Ceramics Sale
The Ceramics X Sale will be Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 7, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm both days outside the Ceramics Lab in the Fine and Applied Arts area. Student ceramic artwork will be available for sale. We are also raising money for food for the kitties on campus with our kitty bowls and plates.

Refugee Application Workshops
Los Rios Refugee Career Pathways is offering application and registration workshops for refugee students. Farsi, Russian, Ukrainian, and Arabic language support will be available. The workshops will be held in person at 1410 Ethan Way, Sacramento, CA 95825. Dates and times are Monday, December 5, Monday, December 12, and Monday, December 19, all from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
