Product Updates & Upcoming Training
We are excited to announce a number of exciting updates coming to Saskatchewan Blue Cross this September!

New Broker Training Portal
Coming mid-September, the new Saskatchewan Blue Cross Broker Training Portal will launch! This portal will provide access to information and product knowledge to support your success with Saskatchewan Blue Cross, including:

  • Personal, Travel, and Group Training CE Accredited Courses
  • Short “How To” Videos which will review a variety of information such as using our online Personal & Travel portals
  • Access to useful documents & resource links, completed Continuing Education Certificates, and more!

New Online Customer Application Tool
As we work to evolve our technology for an enhanced experience, we're making additional changes to our Personal Health Plan online application. In September, we'll be enhancing our online portal to allow Conversion Plan applicants to complete their application and make a payment to activate their plan in a single step!

New Travel Products
We're excited to announce new travel coverage coming to Saskatchewan Blue Cross on September 21. These enhancements will ensure your clients are completely covered while they travel this fall. Our new Travel products will include coverage for:

  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption
  • Baggage
  • Trip Delay Service
  • Visitors To Canada
Broker Training

To prepare Brokers with the required knowledge on the above product enhancements, we'll be hosting a 2-hour training session that will be eligible for 2 CE Credits.

You can select from one of four 2-hour time slots below to attend your training. The content discussed at each session will be the same, brokers only need to attend one of these sessions. This is a mandatory training session that will be required to continue selling Saskatchewan Blue Cross Travel insurance.

Register for ONE of the four sessions below to secure your spot for an overview of these exciting changes.
As this will be an intermediate level training session, we recommend all attendees complete the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Travel Plans Training Seminar (Fall 2021) webinar. If you have already completed the training but would like a refresher, please review the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Travel Products & Portal Overview course.

Agenda for Training Session
  • Overview of NEW and enhanced Travel Products
  • Introduction to the NEW Broker Training Portal

Saskatchewan Blue Cross is raising money for STARS Rescue on the Prairie

STARS is a life-saving charitable organization that cares for and transports critically ill and injured patients. They've flown more than 50,000 missions since their inception in 1985, and average eight missions per day across Western Canada. Many of us have a personal connection to a life they’ve helped to save.

To help keep the helicopters flying, they have resorted to “drastic measures”. A group of brave souls from Saskatchewan, including Megan Douglas, SVP, Chief Brand & Commercial Officer at Saskatchewan Blue Cross, will be flown by helicopter to a remote location on September 15 and dropped off, only to be rescued once they each raise $50,000 for STARS.

To support this year's STARS Rescue on the Prairie, Saskatchewan Blue Cross will proudly match all donations up to $30,000. Every dollar raised helps to save lives.

U of S Huskies Women’s Soccer Goal-A-Thon

Saskatchewan Blue Cross is proud to support the U of S Huskies Women’s Soccer Team’s Goal-A-Thon fundraiser. Fans will pledge a dollar amount of their choice for each goal scored during the season and Saskatchewan Blue Cross will match all pledged donations up to $22,000! The U of S Huskies Women’s Soccer team will also give back to the community with an act of service for each goal scored. Click here make your pledge!

All Saskatchewan Blue Cross members will receive free admission into any U of S Huskie Women’s Soccer team home game by showing their member card when buying tickets (up to 500 tickets are available on a first come, first served basis).
Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures

Saskatchewan Blue Cross is proud to partner with Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures to provide a scholarship for students pursuing a career in Social Work.

Access to healthcare is a significant issue for many remote Indigenous communities and Indigenous peoples are underrepresented in the healthcare profession. In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, this initiative aims to close the education gap while improving access and quality of care in Indigenous communities.

We recently chatted with one of our recent scholarship recipients to learn more about her journey. Click here to read the full interview!
