As we move into Spring, I’d like to take a moment to thank our members for your continued engagement and commitment to UBBA. The start of the year has already brought meaningful collaboration, insightful discussions, new UBBA Members, and steady progress across our committees and working groups. For utility operations leaders, we recognize the increasing complexity of your role; From maintaining system reliability and resilience, to integrating new technologies and navigating workforce challenges, the demands on utility operations teams continue to grow. Across UBBA, we are focused on supporting you in these efforts—creating spaces to exchange practical insights, share lessons learned, and highlight proven approaches that can be applied in the field, today.
Here at UBBA, we recognize that the work we do to strengthen telecommunications capabilities for Utilities is ultimately in service of utility operational excellence, so in the months ahead, we will continue to prioritize content and programming that speaks directly to that end. This includes peer-driven discussions on next-generation smart meters and edge analytics, outage response and restoration, asset management strategies, safety performance, and the integration of emerging tools such as data analytics and automation into day-to-day operations. Your voice is essential in shaping these conversations, and we encourage you to actively participate, contribute your experiences, and bring forward the challenges you are facing.
We remain committed to advancing our shared goals—strengthening industry connections, supporting innovation, and providing valuable, actionable resources to our members. By working together, we can help ensure that utility operations teams are equipped to meet today’s demands while preparing for the future of the industry.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our community.
Sincerely,
Adam Nathan
