Dear ACC Southern California Members & Friends,
I cannot help but notice that our Chapter, and ACC as a whole, has never been more relevant and important for those of us practicing in house in Southern California and across the nation and abroad. The ACC network is a team that enables us to network, socialize, advocate, brainstorm, and give back to our communities.
Society is experiencing much change. The changes require that we help our clients navigate through new and increasingly complex legal landscapes — whether social, economic, political, technological, or otherwise. The ACC team, including our sponsors, is a network which I have become increasingly reliant on when facing these new challenges and opportunities.

I'm proud of our Chapter's continued success, particularly for:
We look forward to continuing these initiatives and investing in our members overall success.

| | ACC SoCal Volunteers at Project Angel Food Prepare Meals for Critically Ill Residents of Los Angeles County | |
Founded in 1989, Project Angel Food has been serving Los Angeles residents living at the intersection of health, food, and financial insecurity. Project Angel Food is a non-profit organization that cooks and delivers healthy and delicious medically tailored meals and offers nutrition counseling – all free of charge – to people debilitated by serious illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and end-stage renal disease. Volunteers are the heart of Project Angel Food, and each year volunteers invest over 42,000 hours to prepare and deliver 138,000 meals per month to critically ill community members. This month, the non-profit served its milestone 16 millionth meal, and ACC Southern California (ACC SoCal) members proudly contributed to this effort.
On April 2, 2023, ACC SoCal members gathered at the Project Angel Food headquarters and were provided with a brief orientation. Under the supervision of a professionally trained chef, ACC SoCal members spent the morning working in teams to chop zucchini, de-stem parsley, and marinate chicken. Together with other volunteers, we helped prepare meals that were delivered to thousands of clients.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible including ACC SoCal Pro Bono Committee Chair Jessica Gillette, Associate Counsel, Senior Director at L.A. Care Health Plan; Co-Chair Shedrick Davis, Regional Director of the Western Regional Office for Lambda Legal; Co-Chair Jason Weintraub, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel of Jacuzzi Group Worldwide; Betty St. Marie, Executive Director of ACC SoCal; Christine Lee, Corporate Counsel at Leap Theory, for coordinating the event; members of the ACC SoCal Pro Bono Committee, and to all of our members, their friends and family members that volunteered their time: Anthony Bui, Carol Forsyte, Chetna Vora, Christine Lee, Jessica Gillette, Jessica Meltser, and Leslie Stewart-Hood.
