Black History Art Show
February 12-16 • Legion Field, 3173 Mill Street
| In celebration of Black History Month, Discover Covington teamed up with the Newton County School System to display artwork from our local schools with the theme “The Dreams of a People: Celebrating Black History Month.” Check out the artwork all week, from Monday, February 12 through Thursday, February 15 from noon-6 PM. We will end the week with a special showcase of the artwork on Friday, February 16 at 5:30 PM. |

| Immediately following the Black History Art Show at Legion Field, join us for a special screening of one of the most successful Marvel movies of all time: Black Panther (2018). The weekend promises to be both fun and exciting. Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) will host the 1st Annual Softball Invitational. The teams competing include Alabama State, Howard University, and Fort Valley State. Come and cheer for your favorite team.
