Covington is Booming in July!

July is jammin' with food, fun, and festivities!

Dance in the streets! Shop. Try a new food truck flavor and meet a new neighbor. Groove to the classic rock sounds of Blu Maxx and then get ready to party with Bogey and the Viceroy – live music begins at 6 pm. After sunset, witness one of the Southeast's biggest fireworks displays at Covington's annual 4th of July celebration: Independence in the Park. Fireworks typically start around 9:45 pm.

Every visit to Covington should begin with a stop at the Visitors Center. Inside is a museum with fascinating film memorabilia from the set of The Vampire Diaries and other series and films. It’s here where the locals tell you which tour is next, where to go next, and what to explore aligned with your personal interests. Covington is both a small, historic town and a superior big city experience with a lot of action packed in. Among the best things to do in Atlanta is to visit Covington’s diverse shops, place-centered dining, inviting hotels, and attractions and tours. Come on in!

Visit the summer market that “sleighs”! Come to the Historic Covington Square and shop for holiday season arts and crafts gifts for your loved ones. You’ll find: farmers market vendors, artisans, food, and community partners. Santa will be in shorts since the Christmas snow won’t fall just yet. Covington is more than historic or known for films. It’s a place of natural beauty where you can explore trails, lakes, three rivers, a golf course and more! The Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center is a public fishing area, wildlife management area and educational area named for a former Newton County resident. The Georgia Wildlife Federation (GWF) makes its headquarters in Newton County and conserves nature trails, ideal places for bird watching, ecology exhibits and much more.
