The 23rd Annual Cheerios Challenge will again help to raise funds for the YMCA. Registration for the 1 mile, 5K, and 10K races includes a t-shirt. Do your stretches and lead the pack to the finish line. Participation medals will be presented to kids in the Trix Tot Trot. Live music, free food and activities will follow after the race. And who knows? You may even get to meet the Trix Rabbit and the Cheerios Honeybee!

The Oxford Singing Children and Oxford Little Singers provide an undersea excursion with a musical adaptation of the popular Disney film. The little fish Nemo gets too close to the ocean surface and is caught by a diver. The absent-minded Dory and a whole cast of characters join in the search for Nemo.

Concert for a Cause will feature Yacht Rock Schooner and local favorites Chris, Jon & Scott for an evening of music to support Piedmont Newton’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This is an entertaining outing for the whole family. Bring along your lawn chairs or blankets to kick back under the stars and rock out for a deserving cause.

Put on your favorite Gotham City costume to enjoy two Batman movies. Lego Batman, with Will Arnett as Batman, and the 1989 Batman, starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Could there possibly be a better way to spend a Saturday evening? We don’t think so! Oh – and come downtown before the movies start to check out the shops and restaurants around the Square. Each shop offers delightful items (many from local artists) and then dine-in or grab a tasty take-away to enjoy with your Batman fix.
