ILPMP Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why can’t I see OTP patient data through my EHR, EMR, or Pharmacy Management system?

A: OTP data, from patients that consent to sharing data and their providers attest they are in direct care of the patient, may be available to providers who utilize an Integration Vendor and/or Application Vendor (EHR, EMR, or Pharmacy Management System) that supports the IL PMPnow interactive user interface. If the information is currently not available within your Application Vendor software, all direct care providers can view and access OTP data via our website at www.ILPMP.org

Q: How do I reset my password on ILPMP.org?

A:  Please click on Forgot Password to reset your password. After entering your information, you will receive a temporary password (good for the calendar day it was requested) that can be used to login into your account. Once the temporary is entered, you will be asked to enter a new password.

Q: How often do pharmacies or dispensing prescribers have to report prescription dispensing data to the ILPMP?

A: Each time a Schedule II-V drug or other selected drugs, as described in Section 2080.230, is dispensed, the dispenser must transmit that information electronically, by the end of the business day.

MyPMP Feature - Overlapping Benzo/Opioid Prescriptions Updated on ILPMP.org

In effort to continue to make the ILPMP a streamlined clinical tool for prescriber's standard of practice, the ILPMP IT team recently released a new display to the MyPMP Overlapping Benzo / Opioid Prescriptions tab on ILPMP.org. New columns were added to display the total of "Opioid Prescribers" and "Benzo Prescribers" for better analysis. MyPMP is a feature for all prescribers to view all prescriptions written associated with their DEA number. MyPMP filters and displays the following CDC indicators: Multiple Provider Episodes, Above 90 MMEs Per Day, Overlapping Opioid Prescriptions, Overlapping Benzo and Opioid Prescriptions, and Medical Cannabis Card.

The data display below is a mockup profile of a prescriber's view who has access to

Newly Released, FREE, Continuing Education Available for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians on the Importance of PMP Data Integrity

Take advantage of this free ACPE accredited educational opportunity providing 1 hour of continuing education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This program, developed in partnership with NASCSA and 12 prescription monitoring program (PMP) administrators, analyzes the importance and value of complete, accurate data reported by dispensers to PMPs and assesses the impact of intentional or non-intentional data entry errors and data omissions on patient safety. It also discusses the downstream impacts of pharmacy-reported PMP data on clinical decision-making processes and helps pharmacy staff identify and implement changes that can be made in their practice setting to improve PMP data integrity.
