AGENCY FOR ALL AT THE SBCC SUMMIT 2022

Social and behavior change communication (SBCC) has the potential to inspire action and improve lives around the world – promoting health, fostering gender equality, or helping women and men achieve their reproductive intentions. However, the success of SBCC initiatives rests on their ability to address fundamental disparities in the agency.

SBCC programmers must grapple with questions like:
Who has the capacity to set goals, make decisions, and act?

Power is often held not only by those that SBCC efforts seek to directly reach but also by partners, family members, communities, health providers, governments, media, or a complex combination of these many actors.

Join the USAID-funded Agency for All project to explore the role of the agency in SBCC research and programming across diverse contexts. We invite you to hear about the project’s efforts to support local leadership and equitable partnerships in SBCC research and programming and to participate in interactive activities to generate insights into SBCC-specific conceptualizations of the agency.
