The 4th annual Day of Dance will be held on Friday, March 24 from 10:00am - 12:00 pm at MGUH! Join movement artist Deborah Riley and musicians Anthony Hyatt and Akosua Hawkins for a community wellness break as they travel through the hospital.

Call for Art: "Art for a Cause"

AHP is excited to announce Call for Art: "Art for a Cause"! We invite you to send 4x4-inch collage art in conjunction with World Collage Day (May 13) 2023.

Join artist-in-residence, Jennifer Wilkin Penick online on Saturday, April 8th at noon (ET) to learn more. Click here to register for the Info Session.

All works submitted by that deadline will be displayed in the hospital and then made available to patients, caregivers, their families, and hospital staff. Each work will be attached to a blank greeting card and will have a sticker indicating that it is original art generously donated to the hospital community. Works will not be sold nor returned to the artists.

Format: 4x4 inch (10 x 10cm) square format (works that do not fit this format will not be displayed but will still be donated to the hospital community)

Deadline for in-hospital display: May 10 (works arriving later will still be donated to the hospital community)

The Georgetown Lombardi Arts & Humanities Program (AHP) promotes a holistic approach to healthcare for patients, caregivers, physicians, nurses, staff members, and students through the use of music, dance, expressive writing, and visual arts. These therapeutic modalities are normally provided throughout the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and online through Eventbrite courses. The AHP is a program of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
