Quarterly Newsletter

Before summer activities are in full swing, be sure to review safety information. Our resources web page is full of safety and health information for farmers and ag operators. Check out:

Now is also a great time to review the types of ticks that spread dangerous disease, and how to properly remove a tick, all available on our tick resource page.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Farmers, ranchers, and other ag workers have demanding jobs, and face stressful circumstances often. Find mental health resources for ag workers here.

May is also National Beef Month! We have many resources for beef producers and livestock workers, including livestock workers safety information and feedyard worker safety information. The Feedyard 15 is a free safety training curriculum that is available to cattle feedyard operations. The program addresses critical safety issues commonly found in feedyard operations.

Avian Influenza PPE for Dairy Cattle Workers

CS-CASH has PPE and educational information that can be requested by local public health departments who need PPE to distribute, or dairy operations that would like PPE, FREE of charge! Kits include: face shields, nitrile gloves, alcohol wipes, safety glasses, N95 respirators, educational materials in English and Spanish in a woven back pack that workers can label with their name. Contact Ellen Duysen to make a request. A big thanks to those who helped us pack up hundreds of kits for dairy workers!
